The ‘Growing in Wisdom: Seeking Deeper Generativity’ course announcement caught my eye in the Rupert’s Land News in the summer of 2021. Reading the content, I was intrigued. However, reading the fee – I put intrigue aside. The amount was beyond my planned, and already tightening, senior’s budget. Then, in August, my friend suggested I attend, and offered the welcoming information that bursaries were available. I pondered the content of the course, debated with myself whether I had the merit to receive financial support for this course, since all my learning had been self-supported, I calculated my monies again and again, and I prayed. And God guided – specifically and generously, as God is prone to do! In response to my bursary application, I was offered enough financial support to cover the balance of the fee I could not. This was an extraordinary gift to me! A gift that reminds me countless times of the generosity of everyone who has contributed to the Growing in Wisdom Bursary. A gift that moves me into gratitude for their giving spirit, and thus, to more thanks for the opportunity to keep growing in wisdom, during these latter years of my life. The course has already expanded and deepened my spiritual horizons. Thank you all for this extraordinary gift.
